NuForce NE-7M earphones

NuForce NE-7M Sound Isolating Earphones With High Performance MicrophoneThe all new range of NuForce Sound Isolating Earphones are now available for sale in the UK. With testing ongoing we have had a good chance to do some serious listening.

We are impressed NuForce!

The NuForce NE-7m's are "in ear" earplug type earphones with high performance microphone. Coming with a variety of different size interchangeable ear canal seals, we have got these to fit in all the ears we have tried so far.

Designed to be used as either a standard earplug / earphones off a music player, these have an additional feature.

This is in the shape of an Iphone compatible microphone. Using the standard 3.5mm jack the NE-7m will allow you to use the iPhone with its call answering button when needed, but also as a serious music source, as well as without changing headset, a phone, or a skype phone.

Couple these with the new Icon Mobile usb dac, headphone amp, and you have a superb sounding upgrade to a traditional iPod, when using the doc out of course. We have seen many different doc cables most of which are good.

Sound quality is, in our ears at least, very good indeed with plenty of air and pace apparent and a real sound stage forming. The lows are surprisingly good at very sensible levels and distortion at volume wasn't apparent. Although we haven't pushed the envelop as we respect our ears and want to keep using them.

Playback was with either Apple Lossless or WAV files on a 6th Gen iPod Classic, iPhone and Sony Walkman A818. These have been in either native output mode, or where possible using the line out feature into a variety of headphone amplifiers, from the GSP Voyager, NuForce Icon Mobile, and GSP Solo SRG. All worked beautifully.
